Well they DID only use 4 channels of the N106 so it's not too far off channel-count-wise... and they didn't use the triangle melodically for a lot of songs (I think).

You're right. I didn't hear the triangle at all except for kicks. It sounds like I got every channel into the VRC6 though, ofc I just had to improvise (using DPCM for drums and triangle for some of the melody).

Eh? Hmm... Well I more than likely won't do a cover of that song. Imo nothing touches that N106 version, even the original doesn't even come close to sounding as extraordinary as the N106 cover. There's no way someone like me could make it sound good enough with VRC6/VRC7, I think.
