No, I didn't. I meant what I originally posted because I'm demonstrating a 4/4 time with an odd drum beat that an average person wouldn't exactly consider as something that's 4/4 time.
Anyways, yucca70's example actually illustrates this better. As long as the fact remains; as long as a time signature's used (no mater which one,) you'd have to set your rhythm & bass to it & have your other channels revolve around it.
