Is this tune good as it is, does it need expanding or is it a pile of crap?
I was trying to add a new song to my WIP OST & was just experimenting with a song from my previous OST (I intended to use it for a Graveyard theme, but have my doubts now).

Also, for your DPCM set, maybe load the snare twice and edit the 2nd one to be shorter that way you could assign it to F-3 and have it loop to make a snare roll :D
I didn't use DPCM as I intended the theme to be more or less something that can be used in an exploratory component of a game (i.e.: an overhead map of a graveyard). This said, what was just posted sounds alright. Mind you, it can be improved a bit (& without any extra instrument).
If you're interested, I use the following for a snare beat:
And I keep alternating the Zxx effect to give a pop.
I'll see what I can do & if it's worth keeping.
EDIT: Here's what I could muster as an edit of your input, but I don't really feel that it's the best change. I know that this song's lacking something, but what; I don't know.

Upon getting to the melody, I immediately got vibes of [url=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PVWpgmiIbas&t=0m30s]Donny Osmond.
First impressions:
-Irregular meter! I like.
-Forlorn melody; very fitting for the setting.
-The melody in octaves creates a Castlevania-esque feel.
-I think the first version, without percussion, is great.
However, I tweaked the music a bit; I think it adds a nice tag to the melodies.
EDIT: This time with attachment!
