Hi guys. I present to you my first piece. Its not great but i like how it came out. Give me your opinion, no need to hold back :P. I'm still in learning process so any constructive criticism would be great. Its not entirely my composition. Bit around 0:40 is taken from a touhou game. I was messing around with melody and that piece "magicly" fit in so please dont hate me for that.
Gives me a bit of a David Wise / Battletoads vibe. I like it.
As far as advice, I'd say try to use more than just flat tones. I've attached an example of what I would do, trying not to change the melody that's there, just changing the texture or expression a bit.
S1 > Now an echo texture.
S2 > Pitch bends, vibrato, shortened some notes, added others.
T > Shortened a few notes for variety, added a few little leading notes.
N > Left as-is.
