A quick song this morning before I have to work. I feel like maybe I'm starting to get the hang of this. Though I still suck at drums. What do you guys think?
(Oh man, as if people with old man makeup weren't creepy enough.)
Um, title is simple enough. I thought it sounded like it could be in an old shooter game, like R-Type or something. And I wanted to write a song without volume envelopes, just 'blank' instruments (except for percussion).
I'm not sure if abrasive is a bad thing, is it? I kind of liked the sound. Can you be more specific about what sounds iffy or needs improvement?
I started to add a second section the other day, but I didn't like where it was going. So I just left it brief. Here's how it was beginning to sound though:

BTW I downloaded your ftm before you tried to ninja edit it out (mwahaha too slow). I didn't like the volume envelopes you made, but I did like a few of the other tricks you used (like the pitch change on the noise channel), and I started to incorporate some of them into the song. Please, I highly encourage anyone to grab an ftm of mine and edit it. That's why I'm uploading them.
