This is my latest work: a lullaby by Cuban composer Leo Brouwer called "Canción de Cuna", for the guitar. Original here, although I did write most of this cover by heart because I didn't want to be too tainted by this interpretation of the piece.

I made a tremendous effort to make the NSF sound as natural as possible, with plenty of rubato (Fxx), dynamic changes and slight delays between notes on the same line (Gxx).

I used a rhodes sound because I'm terrible at making VRC7 patches, but if anyone can successfully create a guitar sound (or already has one handy) I'd be very happy if you'd let me use it.

Enjoy! C&C mucho appreciated.

That was beautiful. Great work with the rubato, and I think that's a more than decent nylon guitar sound.

Can't really think of any CC for this, it's great the way it is.

Very well done! The VRC7 instrument setting adds to the depth & realism of a classical guitar piece like this (& as you well know, achieving that level of realism is difficult at best when composing NES music).

Great use of A01. I'd be tempted to use note release but then again I'm not sure of the setting of the Release slider for the Rhodes preset.

Ditto on the rubato.

Note release sounds uglyyyyyyyyy. No really A01 was the way to go here.

Thanks for the criticism guys

A01 was the only way to do it. Note-release isn't exactly good because, in a song like this for classical guitar, the notes fade gradually (whereas note-cuts are only good for staccatos).
