I am new to importing midi to FT. Whenever I import a file it is all messed up and I dont get it. Can someone please lay out for me the steps to import a midi file correctly? I would be so grateful. Thank you.

I would.

I record (some) NSFs on hardware. Feel free to [url=http://www.famitracker.com/forum/posts.php?id=3633]request a hardware render.

Some would totally negate it.
In my opinion, MIDI import isn't a good idea. The amount of time it would take to fix it up by hand even if it did a decent job would probably still not be any shorter than just doing it by hand.
MIDI import is a flawed feature. Why not just transcribe the MIDI by hand instead? Everyone has a different tracking style, so I would assume that there would be no true MIDI import feature that would please everyone.
