hey all,
messin around with FT and I have a quick question. Is there a way to have a channel play to a certain side? [I.E. if you have on headfones, could you set the square channel to play only in the left ear?]

Thanks~

This would be quite easy to include, but since the NES is in mono it would be fake.

But right now I don't think it's possible!

it would only really work in FT if it was included, so in that way it's pretty damn useless.

Yes the NES can be modded to Stereo, but I don't remember how or where I read about it.

You can get both square channels as one channel and the rest as the other channel.

Still, it would be pretty nice if you could set each channel to a certain stereo balance. Most NSF players (such as jsr's own NSFLive!) allow you to do that, and are even set to play square 1 slightly to the left and square 2 slightly to the right, so it would be nice to have that feature in Famitracker as well, at least for me, since I'm not likely to ever listen to the music I make in Famitracker on an actual NES, and one of the great things about famitracker is that you can listen to what your song sounds like immediately and as you go along, instead of having to type something down and hope it's going to sound ok after you compile it. *phew*! Long sentence. Anyway, my point is, I'm going to listen to the songs I make in a player that plays the music in a kind of "stereo", and it'd only be natural for Famitracker to allow the user to create his songs while listening to them in that same kind of stereo. That said, I'm NOT asking for an "effect" that moves a channel's sound from left to right or anything, because that wouldn't work in an NSF player anyway.
