Hi, I have been using FT ( and the forum) for about a year now. I enjoy listening to the stuff you guys come up with. I guess because of pride I have not wanted to join the forum and share share my experiments, ideas, thoughts, questions etc... To share your efforts puts you in a vulnerable place...But I think I have some interesting music worth sharing with with you all ranging from beginner stuff to the moderately complex.

So anyway...here are a few compositions I came up with throughout the year or so I have been "Famitrackin'"...

One here is a double dragon style tune.

Another is a sort of typical, old NES sounding theme circa 1988...be warned that the little hook before the repeat can get stuck in your head.

Another is music for a would-be game that consists of Robocop and Desert Falcon joining forces to fight crime...probably the weaker of the four but I like it.

Castle Wizard is one of the first pieces I felt really proud of. Simple in ways and complex in ways. I wanted to try to write a section at the end similar to the end section of MM2wilylab1...you know that super-heroic ending that kind of recapitulates all the material used up to that point? I took a crack at doing something like that and ended only partially coming up with such a section.

That's it for now. Hope you all like it.

P.S. Glad to be here with like-minds and nostalgic brethren...

Anyone else see some inconsistency here?
Anyway, nice job.

Nah. Browsing the forum and having an account are two separate and distinct things.

My personal favorite was the NES 88, when it got into the song it sounded pretty cool, though it seems rather incomplete. The others aren't too bad either. Nice job.

Raijin-thank you sir...I agree with you. The frustrating thing about composing is having to be disciplined enough to finish fully developing the ideas that come. I am fond of that one too and it is probably the least complex. Every note seems to count.

I might pick this one back up.

I used Famitracker for five years before I created an account here.
