Now, yucca70, I've said that it's an intermediate experiment (i.e.: greater signs of improvement, with significant areas that need work). I'm not worried about low pitch, though; the volume was high enough.

GlidingSoul; when I said to use greater variation in one of your square channels, what I mean is for you to establish a unique lead track whose notes aren't the same as those you use for your bass (yet can still complement your bass). It's alright to have a small portion of your lead playing the same notes as your bass at a low volume, but as long as your bass remains the same basic pattern for a good length of time, you'll need a lead tune with greater variation before people may start calling the song "stale."

Which part of the song requires improvement ? The one with the square channels ( I've made a silly row of meaningless notes ) before the loop point ?

This change applies to at least one of your square wave channels, for your entire track. The same goes for greater use of volume fades where long periods of empty sound between notes are heard (i.e.: wherever you play the same note for over 1 second before jumping to the next note, you should fade the volume to make the sound more tolerable). This is because, with two square channels playing their notes at a volume of 15, the overall output will sound like the volume is really 30 (double the actual setting). That's when you start reading from the more strict critics that "their ears are bleeding."

Now, remember what I said about this being an art; you can't simply jumble a bunch of random notes & pass it off as music. You need some measure of logic in terms pf progression (like a poem, you have to know what you want to say & how to say it; in music, you have to know what mood you want to set & how to make the song climax near the end).

Krups sounded good at the very start, but it kinda went downhill after that before it looped.

I liked Minigame, although I think the last frame didn't really match as well with the rest of the song.

I actually see greater improvement in both songs now. The balance of harmony & discord in Minigame is very good. Krups sounds a bit too short, but it's still good for an intro (I'd call this one an intermediate-borderline-advanced experiment in terms of how you made the introduction flow).

You're improving, GlidingSoul. It appears that you're finally seeing that you can mold your music in order to make it flow smoothly. Keep this up & keep on practicing; you'll teach yourself more the farther you go.

Krups sounds like an intro to a level or something, buts not bad.

Mini game was a little slow, so I gave it some Canned Insanity.

Only the noise channel is used, if you want to add some bass and a lead you're free to do it ! And submit your version of the beatbox !

When you ask for criticism etc. you can't get offended if the criticism is negative; it's still criticism.

When you said you made that one song in 45 minutes, I saw it as something you could improve on. You also say it somtimes takes less. To me this almost sounds like you are bruteforcing your composing, like you're forcing yourself to make tunes. That usually doesn't give great results.

With that being said, you really have improved so that's a good thing.

GlidingSoul; that's a decent beat. However, a composer needs to write music for more than just a drum; now that gyms made a pretty good tune to accompany it, you can use this to study how he approached the problem of a drum beat with no tune.

GOOD JOB GYMS !! Your version of the beatbox was great !
Archj, instead of babbling, show me how you exploit my beatbox !
Yes, it's a mere noise channel, but I wanted to see how you'd exploit the beat and it may somehow help me for composing.
I'll submit more beatboxes.
About beatboxes, here's another one.

Sounds great, 03 is a bit off, but is not horrible at all.
