I finally have got my hands on a PowerPak (www.retrousb.com) ...

With some help from B00daway on IRC I learned how to add an iNes header using a hexeditor, to the exported prg-file. Would be really nice if it was possible to export it directly to a NES-file. Even if the PP will be able to replay NSF's in the future, making NES-files could come in handy anyway.

I love replaying my music on a real NES!

Thanks!

Yeah this might be useful now when people want to play their music on the NES.

Wait, is this a feature to be implemented into Famitracker, or do you know of a way to convert prg files into nes files? Either way, I'd like to know how to make one/famitracker to have this feature.

That would be as good as my import to NSF idea! Any support on either idea is appreciated.

PRG files are NES files without the iNES header.

If you copy the first 16 bytes from a NROM game (like Mario Bros or Super Mario Bros) and put first in the PRG file then you should have a working .NES-file with music.

Awesome. Though if it's that simple, it should be possible to implement an "export to .NES" function - not everyone has a hex editor or know how to use one...

A NES export feature sounds very interesting indeed.

Kan du förklara hur du bar dig åt för att göra en iNES-header till prg-filen så att det blir en nes-fil? Jag gissar att nästa version av Famitracker kommer dröja ett tag...

You can create NES files with this . Still simple though (no multisong etc)
