This hasn't happened for a while!

Anyway, the song is Levan Polka by Hatsune Miku (Because apparently in Japan, drawings inside your computer are actual people. I'm not kidding, the song is technically BY her... I just don't get it... Oh but the original song is by Eino Kettunen)

I was experimenting with vocals using the FDS channel. This time it's much more simple than my last test, but since the song is complete complete gibberish, I guess it doesn't matter.

Enjoy!

(The FDS waveforms where drawn out instead of converted from a .wav file like I usually do, so they might sound a bit weird...)

Bah bom bah bom bah bom bah baaaah

Re: Miku

Quick! Think of Microsoft Sam. Now understand that in Japan voice synthesis is super advanced. I give you a robot singer: Miku.

Vocaloids they're called.

Okay dude.

Now I dare you to do the Loituma version (with full vocals!) with the same method.

I don't know why people keep grabbing the Miku version for all derivative work instead of a version that sticks more to the original.

(As for this one, by the way, it's pretty damn good. Loving the vocals.)

One line means note cut. That stops the sound dead.

Two lines mean note release. That activates the release envelope or, in the case of the VRC7, the release section of the ADSR envelope.

You can assign a key to both of these by going into File > Configuration and changing the shortcuts at the lower right corner of the window.
