This is my 2nd original song that I've written. I think that in terms of the methods of composing, it is my best yet. Have a listen and see what you think of it. Keep in mind I'm only 14.
The atmosphere you have set is very effective, although I do think that the more ambient parts drag on a bit too much.
With that said though, your melodies are pretty good for a second composition, and very creative at that! Percussion moves very smoothly, and use of effects and arpeggio is relatively good. Aside from it being made with an expansion, this actually reminds me quite a bit of the Follin brothers style, very melodic and progressive.
I look forward to more tunes from you! Let's see some creative use of maybe just the 2a03 next time?Limitations help me focus on melody and getting an optimal sound out of a given channel, and I think this probably carries out to most people
It's good to see that the younger generation's also playing around with FamiTracker & making music; it's always interesting to see how beginners play around with whatever effects are available to them.
Mind you, I wouldn't exactly use FamiTracker as something for a computer technology class, as it's more of a music cross-compiler for an obsolete system whose computer functions were only marketed in Japan (& to an extent in the former Soviet Block).
This said, it's still a great start for a young person.

Thanks for all the comments, it really helps for future compositions.
One thing that could've improved it a bit is proper phrasing with your lead/melody part that comes in at 0D and again @ 1D. Recognize when you're at the end of a phrase and cut the volume on the lead down to zero, creating a 'lift', before you start on the next phrase, emulating the breathing mechanics of a singer or musician
I understand what you're getting at, and I tried it out and it does sound pretty good. One of the main points of this song though is that it's trying to make sounds that you wouldn't hear come out of real instruments. Thanks anyway, though, I'll keep that in mind.

I would have to say that I did get part of my inspiration from some of the Follin brothers tunes, especially with using the 3xx effect to make the lead bend smoothly.
Originally this WAS going to be a 2a03-only tune, but the problem was that the 2a03 didn't go low enough for what I wanted, so I moved the low parts over to the VRC6.
You made this better than the people who made those chiptunes on youtube called "EPICEST CHIPTUNE EVER" and "BEST CHIPTUNE IN THE WORLD", and such.
(but then again, pretty much everyone here has acheived feats thought to be epic, yet we find them normal)
Keep up the good work.
Oh, and there was too much ambient section, and not enough song. For that much ambience, there should be at least 2A frames of song (note that's an estimate, I did not count the frames of ambience yet).
EDIT: Just counted the frames of abience, (10(in hex)(hex from 1, not 0)) and my estimation... doesn't matter. Someone better at finding the perfect ambience-song ratio should find it out.

Best reason to use an expansion that I've heard
Frame 07 got me stuttering :D
