It's the FamiTracker's default one!

Yes, an accurate cover of the waveform!

13-in-1 Pack from C-3 to C-4

the amount of maths involved is not that much really (28160 × 2 ^ (transposed semitones from A-3 ÷ 12) ), but the result is shocking

C-4's BPM is 502320

They always play at E-(-1) for me. But it might be that all my computers apparently refuse to run Famitracker 3.6 Stable by default (they still open every file directly in... 3.0?!)

Assuming you're running Windows:

Right-click any FTM
Properties
Opens with > Click Change...
Browse and find the executable for the current FamiTracker version

Voilà!

Been there, done that, refuses to work.

Similar to how it refuses to recognize MilkyTracker as a program and how it keeps rechanging the associations of all my music files from Foobar2000 to Windows Media Player immediately after I try to set them back.

I also can't tell it to see my hidden files.

WTF?

Do you have admin rights on your machine? I can't think of any other reason why it wouldn't work... Try deleting the old version of FT altogether?

The only way to stop the playback of a real man's composition is via Ctrl + Alt + Del.
