FamiTracker
I've returned with 2 cover works-in-progress. I've been making the most of what I can with FamiTracker recently. So without further ado:
- WIP1: Sim City (SNES) [VRC7]
(Ignore the filename, I can't be bothered to rename it once it's finished, lol)
Note: This was started on an earlier version of FamiTracker, so it'd probably sound odd now... >_>
- WIP2: Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt: D-City Rock [VRC6]

I also do everything by ear. The second one is really good! Going on my iPod right now. Also, I can't do any thing vrc7 with 0.3.6. so I couldn't help you there. Nice tunes!

are you muting spc channels while covering the songs though? i think you should start doing this if you aren't already. there's some parts missing and other parts that are inaccurate. for instance, one of the chord lines in Dr. Wright's Tip is not there. i reckon you should go over what you've done and doublecheck it against the originals. sim city is pretty complex harmonically so difficult to get right, you have to scrutinise the details.
otherwise, good stuff though. a work in progress of course, just thought it'd be better to point this out sooner rather than later!

Yeah, I've been using foobar2000 to mute/slow down the song to hear the notes for Sim City. I don't understand why notes would be missing. Even in "Village", I've noticed that some notes in the intro are missing, and I've checked every solo'd channel, and I got nothing to explain this. ^^;
Anyway, if anyone wants to assist with re-creating the Sim City pack, feel free to contribute. I've made it a free-for-all project. :3
The hardest song for me would be "Capital". Strangely enough, I've abandoned that song because of its awkward speed. D:
Also, I seem to be missing some SPC songs as well, like the full "Congratulations" song. I have the fanfare, with nothing afterwards. >_>
