Hey guys,
I don't know much about famitracker, watched a couple vidoes on youtube, perused the help manual, but that's about it.

I know how to import a MIDI file into famitracker,
something like a megaman tune where the notes are monophonic, and to make sure the channels match up.

But something as small as a 16th note gets blurred, as you don't hear one end and the next one start.
So i faded out the volume, to make it staccato.
But now longer notes like quarter notes are shortened.

Does anyone know how to make it so the notes are given their true note duration ?

Could it be because I changed the speed/tempo in the song settings to
Speed: 1
Tempo: 172(the original tempo of the MIDI file)

If i make it:
Speed: 6
Tempo: 172
It becomes really slow.

Try changing speed to 3 or 4

That still makes it slow.
Anything above a 1 isn't normal speed,
by that I mean it drastically strays from the original tempo.

Don't forget; when you change the speed to a higher number, you have to change the tempo to an even higher number.

I'm just going to flat out say that you really shouldn't be importing from a midi. Sure, a midi editor as a reference can't hurt, but in most trackers you're not going to get a very nice result.

Agreed. Fixing up the results of a MIDI import could take longer to make it sound as good as it would if you just did it by hand.

there is a MIDI tracker as i know of but it doesn't look promising either, so just do your best painstakingly copying notes from the MIDI to famitracker with something like anvil studio
