I've been using Famitracker for a few months and finally decided to upload something here. This basically started out as an experiment in making/using DPCM basses, as well as trying to write something through-composed; It pretty much ended up being soloing over vamps however. I used Famitracker Version .3.5 if that makes any difference.
I feel really stupid 'cause I can't figure why it has a swing. (These forums need a confusion smiley)
You mean all those "change speed" commands in the the DPCM channel aren't a sufficient hint?

Heh, the first couple of times I tried to write with swing I just set the tempo high and manually swung each note. I was relieved when I learned that there was a simpler way to achieve the effect.
I'm pretty much addicted to this song now. Took me a bit to find out the speed changes make the drums do a swing effect. You should make some other songs.
I showed this song to a few of my friends(Of course with crediting you) and they loved it. One even asked for a MP3 to listen to it. This song really started off as just a DPCM bass test?
Great Stuff! I love it! Add a little counterpoint and it is the Tim Follin masterpiece that never was...although the style does not really call for counterpoint...great phrasing, flow and creative details. I really like it.
