Just a case of the 8-bit blues. Funny how each of us has our own style and sound here isn't it? I have mine which kinda resembles old NES, like exitebike, ect. Then mex, constant hint of megaman. I could go on, but for now I'll just let you listen to the song.

The modusponens tune doesn't sound like a 12-bar blues, though. A 12-bar blues is this chord structure: I I I I IV IV I I V IV I I
(Sometimes one encounters V V in place of the V IV; there are other small variations as well.)
What you've got is twelve bars, and I guess maybe it's even a blues progression (I'm not that educated on the subject), but it isn't a "twelve-bar blues".
The only variation my tune has from that progression is that I replace the last I with a IV-IVb. It has tritones everywhere so I can do the cool chromatic movement you hear in the vamping when I change chords. I emphasize the tritone because it's the sacred jazz interval!
To paraphrase The Simpsons, "you have to listen to the notes I'm NOT playing."
