I was in the middle of making a song and throughout the song, I hadn't used the very last channel (I'm using VRC7). When checked "Change All" and increased my tracks by one, I got a very strange "Channel 6", where all the lines where missing and it had random notes with nonexistent effects (some of which are just random symbols).
Should I be worried about this FTM corrupting soon? >_>
(You can try it yourself, just increase the last channel to id 01)
I had changed the engine speed to as low as it goes, and had the same problem, except for the noise channel. Lucky for me I saved my work earlier, but that did happen to me as well, on VRC7. If you saved it after the glitch, I have no answers but if you didn't, It SHOULD be fine.

RE: Woah, almost corrupted FTM file?Posted: 2010-12-30 01:15
That was strange, is this the first time you've had this problem? Was the file created in beta 3 or an earlier version? (I know it was possible to get garbage data in some earlier version but that should be gone now)
Anyway I don't think you need to worry, just delete the notes and it should be fine. I haven't found anything more that's strange with the file, but keeping a backup is always a good idea.
tdude10: I've found the problem with using a custom refresh rate along with an expansion chip enabled, it will be fixed in next version.
