So, I was making a multi-song FTM, and I forgot what I was doing to cause the file to corrupt, but now I can't open it. It just make FT crash.

Hi, by the way.

Didn't expect to see you here.

I encountered a similar error when I was playing around with the chip settings - I started making some FDS instruments and having no clue what I was doing, so I switched to the VRC6 and saved a song with the FDS instruments still in it. That's a no-no.

Not sure if this is what you did, but it might help. As far as I know there's no way to recover a file like that (someone correct me now).

Adding FDS instruments without enabling FDS will trigger a bug in the file loader/saver, this is known and I think it was fixed in the latest beta. Fortunately it's quite easy to fix if you send me the file.

OP's file is attached, I removed the FDS instrument.

Deepfry Man? Lettuce Man?! Holy crap; it's MegDonalds! :P

Just kidding. I wonder what offsets you use in a HEX editor to remove unused instruments...

It may come in handy for me later.

Thanks for fixing my file. I guess now I know better than to go around messing with the expansion chips. ;D

^Actually, I've since renamed him, to make it less obvious.

TechEmporium: No hex editing, I'm just loading the file with the debugger enabled (in visual studio) to see what's wrong with it and then try to fix the errors.
