Hey, I searched quick and didn't see anything about this. If you are using a midi keyboard and select noise channel while manipulating standard pitch bend on the midi keyboard Famitracker crashes. I understand there is no need to pitch bend noise channel, but the crash would cause someone to lose their work if they unintentionally moved the pitch bend whilst playing. Possibly if noise channel could ignore pitch bend message. Just sayin thanks for a great program!
PS not sure if it matters I am using an Oxygen 61 v2. This may only be a problem with this keyboard, or possibly even just my setup. I also have an Oxygen 25 that I did not test but could if you would like
Try using the Oxygen 25, then; if it's something that may be related to the hardware you're using, you can always try different hardware. Who knows how different the two devices may be, internally?

shouldn't make a difference what keyboard you're using in theory - it'll be sending the same midi message to the software. i must confess i have never encountered this bug though. perhaps there is unfinished pitchbend support? it certainly seems that way.
nicetas_c: speak for yourself. fixing bugs like this is critical, way more important than half the frivolous features you and others have been suggesting.
even so jsr will not fix it for a long time, there are many way more important requests and bugfixes
Almost anything that causes a crash should be a priority 1 bug.
A crash that's a direct result of a user stupidly surfing for porn & pirating software, while trying to load a DVD ISO of Fedora Linux in FamiTracker. :P
In short, only legitimate bugs that appear when using the tracker in a normal manner (i.e.: while you're not risking yourself of a virus infection or deliberately doing some stupid things with the program).

The difference is, nobody ever sets the tempo that high, on purpose or on accident. Bumping the pitch wheel on your keyboard while working on the noise channel is completely possible.

you thought so, that no one has ever set it to that high
iammane: I checked it now and it is a bug in the pitch bend code, it'll be fixed in the next release. Thanks for reporting it!
And to make it clear (if there was any doubts), of course I'll prioritize bugs that causes program crashes when using the program in a normal way. That should be obvious. Trying to break any limitations however does not count as normal use.

you're wrong
Uh-huh, and how likely is somebody to set the tempo that high without expecting weird stuff to happen? Nobody ever needs a tempo anywhere close to that, and you can't set the tempo that high on accident. It is something that does not happen with normal use of the software.
Bumping the pitch wheel while operating on the noise channel is, on the other hand, entirely possible and can happen with normal use of the software. I can't believe you're even trying to compare the two.
