hello!

i was making a song with the famitracker 3.5/FDS expasion chip.
one frame and several patterns (around 0A for each channel).
i imported some instruments made on several Famitracker versions!
...and when i tried to make a new instrument at the FDS channel, it crashed (badly as i never seen before!)...the track was huge, and thats why im wrinting here...please help! any mail that i can send the.ftm file??? is there any hope?

ops, bottom of line: i couldn't open the .ftm after this serious crash.

i was hoping to send the file to you (JSR), so maybe something could be saved :o

Actually, one thing you should note is that not all instrument files are compatible between different versions of FamiTracker.

You might as well post the FTM & see if anyone can retrieve whatever you did (& it may take a while since it involves some HEX editing).

ok, case settled!
yes, TechEmporium, its dangerous to import old versions instruments into new famitracker versions, sometimes it eorks fine, sometimes it not

ps: i think its also a nice tip to avoid changing module properties after making lots of frames...
