I've only tested this on 0.3.5. In FT, if you set an envelope using the Vxx command -- let's say V02 -- and you use an instrument that uses a duty cycle envelope (let's say "1 1 0"), then switch to an instrument with no envelope, the new instrument will have the V02 duty cycle, which is what I'd consider the correct behavior.
The NSF doesn't do this. When you switch to the duty envelope instrument, then you switch back, it will keep the duty cycle from the last note (in this case as if you did V00). To get around it, you need an explicit V02 when you switch back.
(And why are topic titles limited to 50 chars on this forum? Makes it difficult to make an informative topic title for something such as this...)
I know the forum software is a little limited. I didn't expect much activity here when it was first launched, and part of why there is a forum at all is because the web host wanted to try his software (and I thought why not). There's been some talk about switching software, but nothing done so far.
