'The Offspring of Violin and Square Wave' is the newest original I'm working on, which aims at mimicking those real classical music. Originally this started as something in the style of CV3 Clocktower, then it became a fugue, and finally the current work.

This is a trailer, the final product should be somewhere around 8 minutes long.

Which composers do you want to mimick, nicetas_c?
Rushjet1, virt, chibitech, strobe...

Bach, Beethoven, Tchaikovsky...
Yeah that would be messy.

This is a wonderful tune. If only it were done without the use of any extra instruments or envelopes; that would be a great feat.

Oh Tech, feel free to take an excerpt for your soundtrack if you'd like.

One problem; my new track uses MMC5. But on top of this, your track's doesn't really fit the overall theme that my track has (i.e.: yours is better).

Mind you, I've kept a copy for study.

I can't wait for the finished product.

Hmm... I don't really have time to look at it more closely than the quick eye, but I actually just learned how to do one of my favourite orchestral effects, and I really cannot wait for the completed song.

EDIT: That effect is in 02-03 and some other spots.

The simplest method is to add chords at the background. You know, two more channels are not too difficult to deal with.

Another cheap way is to only add chorusing and echoes.

Also it is recommended that the BPM should be lower for your soundtrack, and that you add some (but not a lot) percussion. Timpani should sound good, but in the later parts of the song, that channel has something else to do

I am literally floored by the professional quality of this... chip tune would make this masterpiece sound like a menial piece of work, which clearly this is by no means menial in any sense of the word! This should either be used in an RPG or Castlevania if it were to be used in a game, but I'd rather prefer putting it straight to MP3 and listening to it the way it was meant to be listened.

10 out of 5 (yes, you've outdone yourself ^______^)

And then FamiTracker was unable to open a module with 128 frames at occasions...

Yeah, I have to go hex editing, but that didn't work.

If anyone can open this version, congratulations.

That is, if you know what to do with a hex editor. It shouldn't be a difficult puzzle once you have figured out how the hexes work. Good luck.

It is supposed to lock up any version of FamiTracker if you don't do hex editing and find the problem.
