I exported my song as a .wav file, and when I listened to it it was nowhere near the quality of how it sounded as played through Famitracker itself. The volumes were way out of whack: It's like the program seems to have the sounds perfectly equalized while the .wav file doesn't, resulting in a file that sounds like its been horribly mixed/mastered.
Is there a way I can fix this or somehow export this out to another format, like make an NSF and convert it an mp3, so I can get the full sound I get through Famitracker itself?
Also, I'm not sure if it's a glitch or not that the program generates .wav files that are mixed like this. If it is, is there something I can do to prevent this bug from happening?
Well, the WAV export feature is honestly as good as it gets. However, if you have a sound file editor (like Audacity, for example,) you can boost the music's volume significantly, add end-of-track fade-outs, render the resulting tune as an MP3 & even do something I've always wanted to try (export each individual sound channel to WAV & compile them all together into a 5.1 surround sound MP3).
Other than that, if you have Audacity, it's also good for recording any sound that comes from your speakers; if you export your track to an NSF, you can use any NSF player of your choice (such as JSR's NSF Live) & record the song into any format you wish.
If you're able to, can you post your FTM file up here so that we can see what's going on, just in case there could be a problem with your file?

Here is the file.
Tell me if you figure anything out that might be wrong.[/quote]
You could have also attached the file to the forum itself. When you click the Reply link, you can check off the Attachments check box & upload your file. It sure beats using MediaFire for a single file.
Anyways, it does look like it's something wrong from your end. Just as Rushjet1 said, it could be because of the way you configured FamiTracker's volume.
Go to File > Configuration. Then, click on the Sound tab. Make sure that you have the correct sound card selected, that you have a sample rate of 44100 Hz, a sample size of 16 bits, a bass filtering frequency of 16 Hz, a treble filtering frequency of 12000 Hz, a treble damping of -24 dB & a master volume of 100%.
Then, try again. If you're still unhappy, then I'd recommend that you get an audio editor like Audacity to boost your WAV file's volume.
