I'm new to this, I do have a lot of experience with music though, so I've made a few good sounds, I'm having trouble getting some nice 8 bit drum sounds. Anyone know of a place with some famitracker instruments pre-made? or anyone have any they would share? I'm looking for some cool sounds, mainly drum sounds though.

Drum Thump.fti: for use on the Triangle wave — C-3 for kick drums and G-3 for snare drums. Works quite well for me when used with my Drums 3.fti. :)

Drums 3.fti: Use on the Noise channel — 0-# for kick drums and 7-# for snares.

Drums 2.fti: I didn't know what instument to call it. It sounds like maracas or something to me. XD I use C-# on the Noise channel for it.

(continued from previous reply, due to not being able to attach more than three files at a time. ^^;)

Snare-2.fti: An alternate snare drum instrument. I also use C-# on the Noise channel for this one. :)

And, last but not least — CRASH CYMBALS! (Cymbals.fti) I've found that 9-# seems to sound best for this. :D

Actually, you can use whatever values you want, I'm just giving the values I use. :) Anyway, I hope these help! Enjoy! :D

Only Drums 2 and Drum Thump worked for me. The other three throw an error and don't load.

EDIT: the ones that DO open don't work for me either. That's bizarre.

Opening multiple fami instruments in one go would be a nice feature. Currently you have to do them one-by-one.

o.O That's weird… They work fine for me. I'm guessing you're using the latest STABLE version though instead of the latest WIP, which is what I exported them with. >.>

Edit: Okay, I just went and remade them with the old 2.3 or 2.5 WIP and saved the instruments with the latest stable version (2.6). Tell me if these work!

Yeah, they work fine now.

I discovered you can create more interesting percussion if you get a little bit of pitch involved. Here's a snare and a crash respectively. I tend to use them a lot.

i am trying to mimic the sound that konami achieves on the tmnt soundtrack - particularly the noise snare they use. i am having much difficulty recreating that exact sound. i can kinda get a similar sound but it just doesn't have the same crisp attack that theirs does. has anyone found a good sound like this that wouldn't mind sharing the mml settings? i THINK its a combination of pitch and arpeggio to get that sharp quick hit sound. i think they also have a second snare instrument for the flam hits (real quick double hit for you non-drummers)any input is much appreciated. Thanks!

Konami snare: this is pretty close, maybe the volume needs to be adjusted?
