A new song of mine! You will have to use the sync play program to play it. The song has both VRC6 and VRC7...

If you don't know how to sync it up or get lag listen to it on 8bit collective:

Enjoy!

[url=http://famitracker.shoodot.net/forum/posts.php?id=292&pid=7512#7512]Sync-play sends the play command to all FamiTrackers simultaneously, so you can run multiple FamiTrackers and play multiple FTMs while synchronized.

However your computer may or may not lag, therefore it is better to play one FTM first, and then play the other ones YOURSELF for better syncronization.

Wich verison of FamiTracker do you use for sync play? The second FTM don't load in FT 0.3.6 beta 4...

Edit: Hmmm it worked in FT 0.3.6 beta 3! Still haven't figured out how sync play work though.

Edit 2: I synced them by pressing f5 and switching window very fast, pressing f5 (play) in the other FT aswell. Not perfect but quite ok.

Great song indeed! This Sync function would be cool if it could be done on a real NES (using 2a03 sounds only). Perhaps that is something for Neil Baldwin to include in Pulsar! Could be awesome.

You simply open multiple FamiTrackers and then double-click sync_play.exe.

I think it's better to try to expand on Famitrackers uses than just to be pure all the time.

I don't think so. Why use a specific tracker for certain chips if you're not going to use the limitations of these chips?.

I think it would be better do this song in Renoise, or some other general tracker (Milkytracker, SunVox, Madtracker, etc). If Famitracker would have feelings, i think that Famitracker would be crying. I mean, run two FT at the same time is completely outside the scope of Famitracker.

Btw, it's just an opinion.

I could use those but I've gotten so used to the FT interface that I can't stand using other trackers (believe me, I've tried). There's a lot of people using 2 gameboys with LSDJ to make songs and no one is complaining! I'm not the first one to use several expansion chips at the same time either.

But like you said, it's just a matter of opinion!

It is quite noticeable that NES doesn't support multiple expansion chips since one NES ROM only has one mapper, something like that, while NSF allows at most a risky 6 expansion chips.

However the use of more than one noise channel is against the NSF limitations.

Actually there is a cool Japanese cart that let's you plug in famicom games with extra sound chips and let you replay your own nsf's that use multiple expansion chips! At least what it looks like:

I'd really would like to try one of these. I wonder if they are produced and sold anymore (or if they ever was)?
