Hello! First time poster, been reading for a while. Finally got the guts to start plunking around with FamiTracker this past week (I lost an entire week to this thing and don't even know how) and have completed a few covers to get myself familar with some things.

I was fishing around for random .nsfs today to try and cover something I wasn't familiar with and ran into an effect I've heard in lots of games, but for the life of me I can't figure out how to replicate it.

The effect I'm trying to replicate is on track 31 of the Turbo Racing attachment. Early into the track it'll be easy to distinguish. In both square wave channels it sounds like the notes are being "revved up," so to speak, to hit the final note. I've tinkered around with it for a while and just can't quite figure it out. This technique is also used quite liberally in the Super C soundtrack which I've also included as an example. The effect sounds maybe a tad different there, but I think it's in the same direction.

Can anybody give me a hand (I had to ask, but maybe preferably a .ftm example? I'm a more visual person, so it'd really help a lot if anyone could be so kind.

Instead of a pitch bend, it's a note slide.

Here it's demonstrated at 900bpm, but you can achieve the same effect by going into instrument settings, and in the arpeggio bar, enter this envelope: { 0 0 1 1 2 2 3 3 4 4 5 5 6 6 7 7 8 8 9 9 (etc) }
