I made the Chorus For Wavin' Flag in VRC6 and decided to give it a go. So here it is, not anything I'm INSANELY proud of, but here it is anyways. WARNING! This was made in 0.3.0. one of my last things that will be made in 0.3.0.

Here's the NSF file. If you ever need to create an NSF file for some reason, you can go to File > Export to NSF, press the Export button & save the file.
I must say (even though I've been listening to this song on the radio at work for the longest time, to the point of hating it,) it's quite good. If this is your second song in FamiTracker, though, you might want to have a look at the program's Help file (just press F1 when FamiTracker's open). There is quite a bit that you can improve on.
You can do all sorts of tricks without the need to create new instruments (like vibrato, volume fades, tremolo, etc.). I suggest that you use these effects to add more variation in your file.
You may also want to hunt for standard musical notation for the song (if you can find & read it,) or a MIDI version of the song. That way, you can have a look at how the song itself is composed (& you can match your notes accordingly).
I hope this was helpful.

I have gotten quite good at reading sheet music, and i am still learning the whole effects thing, but i will use them to some degree in my next project, which is I Love Rock and Roll. Also, I have absolutely 0 use for nsf files, but if they're of some use to anything, please explain that to me.

An NSF file is actually a modified version of an NES ROM; it's essentially an NES ROM with everything but music information removed.
With an NSF file, users wouldn't have to rely on any particular version of FamiTracker (or any other tracking program like MCK) to listen to music. Instead, the NSF file can be loaded into an NSF file player like VirtuaNSF, an emulator like Nestopia or a music player like WinAmp (with a suitable plug-in like NotSo Fatso).
It's a way of overcoming the compatibility problem between FamiTracker 0.3.0 & the newer versions of the program.
You can also go to File > Create WAV & it will let you create a WAV file of the song (according to any particular repetition length, or any time frame in minutes & seconds). From there, you can convert it into an MP3 & upload anywhere.
And I have to correct my first post here; to create an NSF, you need to go to File > Create NSF (not Export, but Create).

I do use the wav. alot as I put all of my songs onto my ipod, but I don't think I will need in the near future an nsf. file. Although, if it could be uploaded into lunar magic somehow, than I would have a use for it at last.

Actually, I have a bad feeling that you can't use NSFs for a Super NES game editor (you see, NSF files are modified NES ROMs; the two platforms are different).
You can, however, use NSF files for your own NES ROMs:
Under the NES software listing to the left of the page, you can use VegaPlay to create your own ROM, featuring 10 songs by default (you can always add more, but this requires you to have some knowledge of assembly language & using a hex editor).
Another thing you can do is something I've done on my website; use the NSFs to host your music through a web-based player.
Unfortunately, I'm not that educated in scripting, and i'm kinda in the midst of completely reprogramming the levels of SMW, so i'll finish that first, then go nes. You wouldn't know if there would be some way I could make a snes rom a flash game online, or publicly downloadable, would you?

Actually, redistributing game ROMs of already existing or hacked games is illegal under Canadian, US & European copyright laws.
However, you can always create an IPS patch; it's a patch file that you can create for any ROM from any non-CD-based game system that's older than N64 (for example, an NES game, Sega Genesis game, Super NES game, etc.).
A patching program works by comparing an original ROM to your hacked ROM, figuring out the programming differences between them & creating an IPS patch file. This file is then used by another patching program to hack any existing copy of the original ROM.
Have a look at Zophar's Domain for a library of IPS patching tools:
However, this would still involve some knowledge of web design (you basically embed a code into your website that runs a Super NES emulator with your ROM).
I hope this has been enlightening to you.
Anyways, back t the original topic!
