the only reason why i'd want importing of NSF is the same reason i want importing of NED files... if i could import NSF's i made with nerd tracker i could make a multisong NSF of my NED songs with FT... im not sure how else i could combine my nerd tracker songs into one NSF... anyone know anything about this?

There is no general way to extract notes out of an NSF. It may be possible if the exact format of the NSF is known, but as far as I know every game company used their own music player.
Some kind of note recorder (like that NSF to MIDI) is the easiest way.
Hmm... or possibly a chain of conversions, that imports the .nsf, transfers the notes to .midi (with all necessary options, like what channel gets what notes, kinda like that nsf-to-midi program only with some minor tweaks and improvements), which then transfers the data to the current FamiTracker document.
... this'll only need a couple of additional features under File, so my only two suggestions for you, JSR, is to:
- make an "Import NSF..." option (which I suggest should automatically use that sequence I explained above... nsf to midi (with channel designation and other options), then midi to famitracker),
- and a "Create MIDI..." option (not to be confused with midi output, creating a midi should change the current famitracker song file into a midi file (I've never heard of a multi-song midi, so there'll have to way to select which song to transfer to midi)). I've already suggested this option before, but that was for improved communication between famitracker and other midi-controllable programs (for example, exporting a famitracker song to midi for import into programs such as FL Studio, to control both a MIDINES and other instruments supported by FL Studio at the same time)... I'm repeating this suggestion to also sort of sync both file types within famitracker (if it could import and export nsf's, why couldn't it import and export midi files? I dunno, I guess I'm just asking for some balance, lol :3. But seriously though, I'd definitely use it).
This has Eletious, Tech, and I *COMBINED* beat by a long shot.
