Clearly, you've NEVER heard any music from any Mega Man game to know how it sounds like, whereas nicetas_c has a specialty in NES music (especially when it comes to covering game music like Mega Man, Castlevania & others). It's obvious that the song's style doesn't resemble that of any Mega Man game's music. It's because of the instruments, the notation & the actual theme itself; there's a reason why Mega Man is known as [u][b]Rock[/b][/u] Man in Japan (i.e.: Rock Man is Mega Man & Roll is his sister in the game, named after Rock & Roll music).
If you want to create Mega Man styled music, you need to have a look at all the different Mega Man covers on this forum; take advantage of it. Note the use of Rock themes, electronic music themes & make copies of each instrument in those files.
If you want, here's my copy of TSSF's Mega Man 10 cover (yes; I still have it on my hard drive because it's good music & good learning material for FamiTracker).

I did not say that COG has no talent (as a matter of fact, vgthing was the only person that did); I just said that his song needs to be changed if he wants it to sound more like a Mega Man theme (his style doesn't sound like anything close the Rock & Roll style that Mega Man games use). However, if he were to add different effects (like volume control, for instance,) I'm sure he could improve it drastically.

Yes; COG has a style. It's called [url=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flight_of_the_Bumblebee]The Flight Of The Bumblebee (because the amount of discord in the piece & the lack of Rock-styled volume control makes the song sound like a bee buzzing around in a garden). Sure, it's a good song (& a great first song to submit to this forum, if it weren't for the lack of volume control,) but it's clearly not related to Rock music or Mega Man. He needs to change a good amount of the song before it can sound as he advertised it to.
