I don't know if I encountered a rare bug or if I accidentally touched some weird hotkey (couldn't find any hotkey that matched at least), but suddenly the rows went from 64 to 24, and everything after row 24 was deleted . Any idea what could have happened?

It could be that you accidentally change the number of rows while trying to change the tempo? I'm not sure.

alike the skip to final frame bug, i am not sure what causes it...

I'm using 0.3.5 so it's pretty recent yeah.

And I'm positive that I wasn't changing the tempo, I was adding notes or effects when it happened :p
