Sunsoft DPCM never uses Z00 to stop samples.
Also, Sunsoft always handles with notes playing at the same period, for example, the five C-4s to the end of the song.
On top of that, why does instrument 00 have no volume attack?

Because it's set on release so the volume decreases when there's a note release.

I didn't do NSF2MIDI for the instrument, I just did it by ear, although if I remember correctly in Battle Formula, it's envelope is 10 and I don't know what it is for it's reverb but it's been a while since I've opened it with NSFPlay, as VirtuaNSF is my default NSF player.
