So one day, I thought to myself, "I wonder what Gradius V would sound like on the NES"... Well, with that, I started work on what is probably the only possible song to do from Gradius V on the PS2, Intermezzo. It's a bit different from the original, but I wanted to sound a bit more chippy or something... I don't know... What do you guys think so far? I attached the original for comparison.

EDIT: One frame to go!

EDIT: DONE!

vgthing:

It's pretty good for a start. However, I would really listen to the chords there. If I were to do a cover (which I am thinking about doing thanks to you) I would use arpeggios for the chords, but that's just me.

With polishing, this could be awesome. Can't wait to hear it, seeing as I love this game. ^___^

BTW, my cover is going to be in MMC5. Is it okay if I post it here when I am done?

Edit: Constructed said chords by ear just now and posted underneath.

I realized my chords were different; I was just kinda doing my own thing I guess, but I futzed with it for a while, and here you go...

I was also thinking of doing "Something Green", or "Impregnable fortress", but those would be pretty tough by comparison.

That's a pretty good cover, vgthing. Keep it up. If only you could do more from Gradius, man.

Ohhhhh... You're doing a remix!

Sorry - I thought you were doing an all-out cover. ^____^'

Just in case you care ( ^__~ ) I finally finished mine, of which I am going to post in my own area. Check it out once I do and tell me what you think.

You did well, vgthing. Do more remixes of Gradius tunes!

Just finished it. I was planning to do some more covers from Gradius/Nemesis/Salamander/Parodius in the future. I really like the music from the Gradius series in general.

Also, nice cover, Demick12! I likes it a lot.

I see you added the ending part in. I like the new chord progressions.
