Yes, another 900BPM cover.

This time we have Heart of Fire from Aria of Sorrow, redone in Castlevania 1 style.

Let's be sick. Can't imagine how the original Heart of Fire only occupies 35% of the loop...

Pretty good, man. Maybe you should do a 900 BPM cover using the VRC7 for FamiCompo Mini.

No, there are not enough variations in VRC7 channels.

That's true. I haven't really thought of that (& it makes sense, seeing that you only have one custom instrument & 15 presets that could otherwise be done in the square channels).

But how about MMC5?

I would rather have tackled VRC6 instead.

I'm sure this is a silly question but why 900 BPM? I guess you get more control over envelopes.. Is that it?

The song's instrument and volume could be altered within the song itself, alleviating the added stress of constantly creating patches (not that doing that is bad or anything, but the possibilities of manipulation are infinite doing the 900BPM thing).

nicetas_c, you've made a 900BPM metroid out of me. ^____^ I finally understand how to create decent tracks more quickly (provided I set the lines up correct for guidance, that is).

There are only three factors affecting the outcome:

a) Volume
b) Pitch
c) Waveform

When the speed is set to 900BPM, there will be no need to use a real instrument; Just a blank one with the channel volume column, Vxxs and Pxxs are needed for anything, despite its big memory consumption. Esspecially when I have to open fx2 just for one P80...

surely you'd just use speed 1 instead? or is that what you mean?

(i try and avoid touching the tempo control as it can cause rhythm rounding problems - so i just mix speed commands to get the approximate speed i want.)

I think I do not understand what you want to say...

Yeah, I was always doing this when the tempo is not 900.

So I would make a pitch perfect section of Mega Man 3 Boss Battle Theme to demonstrate how to do what widely known as "Rational Tempo" in 900BPM.

(Yes, I made two instruments just to save around 0.04KB of space)
