I'm new here, and I've just learned to use FamiTracker. So this is my first attempt - Cut Man cover. (made with version 0.3.0.) I'm not satisfied with the effects in the cover (I don't like vibrato in some notes and echo in the last part but it's the closest I could do right now), but I'll try to progress as I learn new things and make more music. Hope you'll like it!
Yeah I know I missed the noise notes, guess I'll need more practice to transpose them by ear.
However I haven't noticed any difference in duty settings 1 and 3. 2 is obviously different, but am I missing something with the 1 and 3 settings?
About the note cuts, I don't think I understand. Did you mean I should put the G02 effect instead of note cuts, along with the note cuts, or in the position of the note that should be 'cut'? Because I tried all three and didn't get the original sound. Somehow it doesn't sound clicky to me
I installed 0.3.5. and now the cover does sound way too clicky indeed. I suppose you opened it in 0.3.5. as well. The correction about cuts with note delay you mentioned works now.
I put the delay where note cut was, keeping the cut and now it sounds fine. The problem I had is that you can't spot the difference in version 0.3.0. When played in 0.3.0., the file doesn't sound clicky at all, but in 0.3.5. it does? I guess I should stick to working in 0.3.5. then.

Duty cycles 1 and 3 are extremely close to each other. Changing from one to another one however creates a BIG pop, way bigger than that you can achieve with H00 or I00.
Here are a module that demonstrates the effect of switching V01 and V03, and a great instrument.

Way better now. So I will point out way more mistakes as well.
1) The volumes are too high.
2) All triangle notes use this pitch envelope: P[| 3 3 -3 -3 -3 -3 3 3]
All vibratos on SQ1 on or before frame 08 use this envelope too.
3) All vibratos on SQ1 and SQ2 on or after frame 09 should be P[| 1 0 1 0 -1 0 -1 0 -1 0 -1 0 1 0 1 0].
4) The instrument 'Click' should be V[15 15 15 15 0 0 15 15 0] + A[-12 -12 0].
5) The trill towards the end of frame 08 is... well, I cannot help you without changing the speed.
6) The echo delay from frame 09 to 0C should be 9 frames, i.e. 3 rows.

Wow... I didn't expect so many details. Thanks for your knowledge, I find your perfectionism very useful!
Out of curiosity, do you know all this because you have long experience in covering Mega Man soundtrack so you already know the style and instruments, or you made Cut Man cover before, or you just happen to have damn good ear for this I'd really want to know!
I (hopefully) fixed 1), 2), 3) and 4).
I suppose that 'buggy' trill could be fixed by slowing the whole song down and fixing everything else to fit the new tempo but that would take too much time, and I'll take it what it is.
And I couldn't understand what you meant in 6)...
Also, I tried to fix the 'click' sound, because I think there's two distinct 'clicks' in the original version...

I hate myself at a frequency of 1KHz for spoiling other people's fun using the attachment feature.
Open in 0.3.5. or later. Sxxs will not work in or before 0.3.0.
