I am new to FamiTracker. I recently acquired a song and the only media I have it in is for FamiTracker. I wish to convert it to traditional music noatation. Could someone please inform me of how to do this or at least how to read the FamiTracker patterns?
The notes are written in text format in FamiTracker.
A middle-C would be C-3. Every other note will have its name & octave written out for you.
For example:
C-3 D-3 E-3 F-3 G-3 A-3 B-3 C-4
And so on. Also, FamiTracker can indicate notes as sharps (such as C#3,) but it doesn't indicate flats. So, if you encounter any music that's in a flat minor, you have to use your knowledge of converting sharp notes' names into their equivalent flat notes.

Technology: the one thing that's hated & cursed at by all engineers, technologists, scientists & technicians!
export an nsf, use [url=http://www.zophar.net/utilities/converters/nsf2midi.html]nsf2midi, open the midi it creates with a midi sequencer.
because nsf2midi doesn't convert to the tempo/barlines, it will look like garbage on a staff view, but a piano roll view will look somewhat more sensible.
