I don't think this has been mentioned yet (if so, sorry), but i am playing around here with the latest wip and have made an .ftm file which has 14 songs at 94 Kb - and when converting to .nsf i get this message "Error: Music data size exceeded limit, NSF may not work properly! Try creating a bank switched NSF instead" , when I then convert using the bankswitching option, the .nsf is corrupt and gives me the dpcm related problem ( all instruments stop after 2 or so frames and then it's just a big noise sweep ).
Is there a limit to how big the .ftm can be in general?
Thanks!
The size of the .ftm itself shouldn't matter, and if the songs are big then bank switching should work. But here it's indeed causing a problem.
My new NSF code is only half way through working right now, so I'll see if I can find the problem in the old code. I'll get back with a fixed version then.
Btw, those songs rocks! Reminds of the game Star tropics!
cool, so i don't need to split up my ftm's just yet,
i'll wait for the next official release to do the nsf conversion, thanks a million for all the work put into this!
Btw thanks! real nice to hear that =D, i'm just starting to compose my own tunes, and it's still really close to its sources. I really wanted to pay hommage to the great music work in ST and Zoda's revenge, and maybe add some personal touches or whatever... hihi
