It would be greatly appreciated if you could change the look of the whole tracker, including the areas where it's just a grey-ish colour because of windows. I do know that this would require "dos boxing" the whole tracker, not just the note box and sequence box.
Another thing about the "look": there is posible to make the control panel smaller?. I use Famitracker in a netbook, works perfectly, but if i can move up the control panel i will se much more of the patterns without lose the control panel options.
Or maybe a keyboard shortcut to disable and enable the control panel.
jsr is quite apparently behind (according to him) on the tech aspects of this tracker, so asking him would be to add another worrisome task to his to-do list. There is good news, though. The dev kit used for this tracker is now a different one (see details), so it could be feasible for someone to program that into FT by altering the source.
Personally, I can't wait to see if it does happen. In the meantime, I just don't see it happening anytime soon in this stage of development, sadly.

I would personally (if I knew programming, which may as well be Greek to me) wait until the tracker is complete and bug-free to worry about that sort of thing, but that's just me. By then, [u]hopefully[/u], jsr will release the source (it all depends on his level of generosity) so that anyone who would like to add features may do so.
There is going to be some down time while jsr unravels all the ugly knots in FT.
If I were him, I would definitely NOT release a beta source unless it was for those who want to help lift his burthen a little, which would require the person helping with the source to know how jsr wants things done. It is his creature after all.

But man, the code of GUI in Famitracker does not have to change necessarily throught the betas. I mean, my idea is to separate the code of the visuals and extract it, in this way it is something external like the skins of some media players. Would be great.
For example, creating some code to set the window's layout using, say, an external bitmap image.
I do foresee the problem of needing a set template for creating the skin, though (& by this method, you'd also have to disable resizing the window unless something better can be implemented).
