Have you tried the square with a duty MML value of 01? I find it complements the triangle quite well.

he means in the instrument editor, go to Duty/Noise, the box where you type the numbers is MML representation, and the graph looking thing above it is just the GUI entry for it.

What I meant was for you to go into the instrument editor & use a duty cycle value of 1 (or use the V01 effect in the effects column).

Hmm...

How about using a note delay effect (like Gxx)in the triangle channel? To me, it's starting to look like an issue with the spacing of your notes.
