Did this in about an hour to see if I could. The goal was to write a cohesive song using no effects and just one instrument for all channels. Enjoy!

if you track at speed 2 or 1 the need for instruments can mostly be eliminated anyway. i remember shnabubula's "pastorale scenes" was almost entirely done with one blank instrument.

nonetheless, fun tune and proof of concept

This is really good. Reminds me of what Sunsoft did with Batman. Really nice!

Excellent proof of concept. If there were any tutorials on FamiTracker, this should definitely be a part of it.

Wow, long haven't we seen inspiring tunes like this one.

Dang, I made a percussion instrument in that project!

Great, speed 1 and one instrument to do that number of effects...

This song is awesome. Inspired me to make a project, as long as I can, keeping best quality, having only 1 blank instrument and using manuals and effects to replace what instruments do. I guess it might be what NC what trying on ABUSABILITY, but I'm going for something with a main tune. Not just random awesomeness placed everywhere properly.

I said the second 'A' is supposedly intended to be an 'I'...

I notice that now you point it out. I turned it to ABILITY because it's the closest to what I have in my vocabulary. Still pronounced the same way?

[size=1]I have a feeling that someone's thinking that thisi is changing the topic, but someone will say how awesome the song is at some point soon and put us back on topic, so don't worry.

well that's how I used to have to work in MOD2PSG2 for any [url=http://8bc.org/music/RushJet1/Space+Oddity+Medley/]SMS music I'd do. 60FPS editing (speed 1), ALL effects done manually with blank instrument, including stupid things like pitchbends, arps, echo, etc.

If you listen to Jeroen Tel's music for Bram Stoker's Dracula, the first square wave is the lead and the second is an echo of the first square wave and he uses the triangle channel for sound effects only so technically those songs are one channel

No, we are talking about one instrument and 900 BPM.

By the way, I have finally got some chance to implement speed 1 accurate covers.
