Sounds like a sound experiment that turned out great for you.

Good work with the explosion sounds & the arpeggios.

I didn't use arpeggios. And that's going to be in my first game. Once I learn Java, C, and 8-bit converter usage properly. But, that was an experiment. At first.

Well, an arpeggio isn't strictly created through any effects.

Arpeggios are simply a series of notes played sequentially, at a fairly rapid rate & in a pattern.

For example, the fast, sequential patterns that were played as triplets, quadruplets, etc. are called arpeggios.

And props to your learning to program your own game.

I've only got the graphics and sound down. And, even with how simple the music so far is (some so simple I will not post them here), the music is GOD compared to the graphics.

Please disregard this (this is an accidental double-post).

You're getting there with the music. You have a better knowledge of sound manipulation than I had when I first started with this tracker, I must admit.

You can always do like the guy who programmed Syobon Action, though; his Visual C project uses simple image files, MP3s & code that manipulates the image files as sprites.

If you're interested, here's the binary & the Visual Studio project files in one package:

You either refreshed the post has been posted page or pressed submit twice.

EDIT: Well..... I am a fast learner. And my mom plays violin and piano. And I play guitar, piano and drums.

Yeah; the browser took too long to load & I went back to avoid double-posts. I added the download link. :P

And that's awesome; I used to play electric bass & piano.

Ok. The piano is what everyone goes to first before they become programmers/trackists(or whatever we're called)

That's actually very true; I learned piano first thing before learning the bass.

Anyways, I hope you find Syobon Action's code a good source to learn from (in spite of the entire project's source comments being in Japanese).

You way want to find a translation program from Japanese to English if you can't understand Kanji.

Ummmm...... I just tried running it. Yeah...... that is a faulty program. Just killed my GFX card. I'm talking now in 8-bit mode. Ironinc, because this is a forum for a sound tracker that makes 8-bit music.

Sorry about that; I downloaded the program & it works well for me, though.

I can't see what could possibly be the problem. Are you able to close it & change the graphics card's settings in Windows?

The problem must be that my computer has only the english language of C installed.

It could be, though I highly doubt it (I don't even have Visual Studio installed, so the binary runs file on my system & doesn't crash my graphics card like that).

I think something else could have interfered with the driver. That said, I can't see a single thing that would do this, nor can I see Japanese-made text files interfering with an English version of Visual Studio. You can try to remove the comments, change your graphics card's settings in the Control Panel & try opening the source files again.
