Why is that? Some 4xy covers sound pretty good... When used properly, that is (i.e.: Ninja Gaiden 2's 4xy tracks are a million times better than my use of it). :P

NES covers ought to do all pitch changes using the pitch envelopes or 1/2xx for accuracy.

That is true (about the use of pitch envelopes, that is; being picky is more of a matter of impeccable taste).
