I hear some Blaster Master style in here =) Also, possibly some Tiny Toon Adventures?
I like the effect you use on the triangle on frame 12!

This is an amazing song, and it sure does show that instrument definitions is not really necceseary.

Alot of stuff to learn from too! Thanks for sharing...

I'd really like to see whats going on during this song. I imagine a crazy game with alot of stuff happening all the time!

I like the stuff going on at pattern 29-2C, great break!

Download goes here. I have a strong feeling that my WIP frame 32 has to earn me more fame...

EDIT: Download moved to 3rd page.

I have the 'display frame numbers in hex' option disabled. So maybe it's frame 0C for you. 0:43-0:44. The rapid decent of notes with downward pitchbend, producing a gurgling type noise that sounds like the frog in Blaster Master... and then your song goes into a Blaster Master like structure... I love it!

I see that this is a compilation of many different musical techniques from many NES games. It's very intensive and keeps me listening.

I also love how you used the speed of the song and volume levels/slides to create your envelopes.

This is the best example of technique I have beheld so far - keep at it!

Exported to NSF, played in Notso 0.86. Noticed some interesting problems.

1 - frame 20, the "mario getting smaller" sound effect lasts too long, sounds sloppy

2 - triangle DPCM sounds awful when using the small looped ones that I didn't make. I know the reason for this though... the NES wants to loop things in 16mod1 sizes, so 17, 33, 49, 65 etc are all acceptable. The sample in this is 16 bytes so it will loop improperly. My sample is 976 bytes (16*61) and therefore loops much slower, making the single byte of $55 that the NES shoves in there sound negligible compared to the 1/17th of noise you get with a 16-byte sample. Either you'd have to make a C-note with 17 bytes (yeah good luck) or loop it way out to avoid distortion.

1) It seems that some NSF players do not cut the note when a hardware sweep causes the pitch go out of range.

2) That's something new to me.

On FamiTracker, it just kept on looping all frames past 50 as 50 and it never left until it reached 7E, which is the last frame. Is that a glitch, or is it something you did on purpose?

Could you update it please? It currently sounds awesome, and I want to hear more awesomeness. My project is even kinda inspired by this, but I need more to make more.
