No offense bro, but this seriously sounds like one of those LJN licensed games on nes. XD I can already hear the nerd yelling "ASS" at the top of his lungs.

But in all seriousness, don't quit, my brother. I was once at your level about 5 years ago; and I'm sure everybody on these forums were, as well. Just keep on making stuff and you'll get better. I promise. :3

Yeah. I started 4 years ago. I got on, tried to do something, said "DIS IZ STOOPID" and stopped for about a year. Then I made a song, not all that unlike yours, and posted it here. People helped me out; The most clearly I remember was TechEmporium. Still has the same avatar. And I got better and better.

Sure, I got banned on 2 different accounts, one because this was the first forum I'd ever joined, and consequently, I acted like a troll (not intentionally, of course) and the second one, well, everyone thought I was iGotno_Scope.

But the point is, you keep trying, making your awful music less and less awful until you can make something your proud of, and then look back on it years later and know even that wasn't great. Just keep at it, and you'll be glad you did.

As for the owner, your song needs improvement. I think you should get started with the percussion (try and change the noise volume envelopes to a fade out or mess around till you get something that sounds neat).

Your music also needs some sort of meaning, story or mood. I know that's weird to say but if you look up most retro game OSTs, you know what I'm talking about. The thing about your FTM is that it lacks consistency with feeling: it starts off with some sort of suspense then goes on to be some sort of circus music, followed with more meaningless suspense and an unfinished boss battle song.

Another thing that makes songs so great is that they have a main melody which is memorable, satisfying to listen to and is repeated throughout most of the soundtrack. Your FTM does not have that at all. Take an example of this and you will understand.

As for what ideas you threw in, I'll say that you've made a fine start. At least the melodies were somewhat fun to listen to the first time.
