I know what VOPM is, but I actually thought that VOPM XD was a for of VOPM, or something. =P
Also, Deflemask is a really good Mega Drive/Genesis tracker, but it suffers from a similar problem with the GUI. VGM music Maker was also a Genesis tracker but Shiru took it down. I still have a copy, and there's one on these forums if you look hard enough...

VOPM actually emulates the YM2151 chip contained in arcade machines and the Japanese Sharp X68000 computer, but Sega Genesis (YM2612) also operates on the same principles, which is where the OPL's come from.
Hmm, could've sworn YM2612 was an OPN-series chip.

It is. YM2151 and YM2612 (OPM & OPN2) are both four-operator designs, while the OPL series are all two-operator units (like the Konami VRC7 expansion).

So yeah! Can't edit the first post because of a quite handy thing that stops people becoming sausages, but it would be handy if someone could change the URLs to say maskelad.zorbtech.co.uk instead of daleksam.zorbtech.co.uk - I've had my subdomain changed for my files (daleksam.zorbtech.co.uk goes to my Tumblr).
I've gotten to grips with mid2smps, so I've started putting these mocks onto the hardware itself! I've gotten the X3 Intro Stage done, but for practice I've also done Flame Man from Mega Man 6 and Fillmore from ActRaiser done as well.
They're VGM files so you'll naturally need a VGM player or plugin. Hopefully will have some more soon.
