Thanks for liking it, gyms. And thanks to you, I now understand exactly what the two of you mean concerning the the use of G# in my bass (seeing that my note progression appears like a premature climax before the actual climax even occurs).

As for the track itself, two of the songs are from ElHuesudoII (which I feel are more unique than my own work, to be honest). Anyways, I'll post a new edit when I get the chance.

Well I did this fast but I think it will explain my point. I changed the bass on frame 6 and the melody so that it fits the bass. The idea is to know where you want your climax and, if possible, make a change in the chord progression. I tried to keep it like the original so I don't pretend it's a definitive version. I also think that there's too much going on in there at some place so I just erased a channel where I made the change. I highly suggest that you redo it in your taste, or you can keep it that way if want.

I also changed two note in the first frame of the introduction (a F# with a G on a strong beat is very rarely the thing to do). Keep up the good work man.

Hmm... I'll consider the change to the minor boss theme, which I can see needs a bit more improvement on what you've already done. Plus the fact that I don't want to use ANY actual instruments with any added volume settings whatsoever (I use FamiTracker 0.3.0 & your added instrument's volume becomes 0 automatically once I open the file, so I'd have to know exactly what volume pattern you used).

As for the change in the intro theme, the use of G instead of F# threw off the harmony for a bit once the song went into frame 1. I think I'm keeping the intro as it is (namely because that's similar to how my 2nd OST ended).

Thanks for your interpretation on the minor boss theme.

so, tech. are you seriously still using 0.3.0? I did, a while back, but now that 0.3.5 is stable, and so is 0.3.6, why don't you get either? I haven't had any problems with 0.3.6 (admittedly I did w. 3.5). But, in the end, it's your decision.

That instrument is unused anyway.

I don't use anything greater than 0.3.0 because the newer versions still have a few kinks to get rid of when compiling NSF files (that I the new instrument file formats are incompatible with each other).

I've just noticed that now. :P

Thanks for pointing that out.

Bumparoo.

I've finally gotten around to modifying my OST. I've incorporated Velathnos' modification with a little tweaking. I've also added a couple of new tracks, conga samples for the Desert theme & expanded my Fanfare theme a bit.

Have a look at the attachments & tell me what you think.

You broke it even further than it already was.
</troll>

Jokes aside, it didn't sound quite as I'd expect it to from one of the masters.

Was there a reason why you put such a huge tempo swing on all of the tracks? Because it killed every track except for track 7 (for some reason, track 7's the only track that sounds a bit better from your edit, in my opinion). :P

But yeah; I said you could do whatever you want with it & you did. I just expected a Rushjet1 remix "cover" like the last time you did that to one of the songs in my OST.

Well, I'm considering the swing only for track 7 (but then again, I'm thinking of using track 7 for a different purpose).

Honestly, I don't really like the tempo swing for the rest of the tracks, but I'll see what I can do for other songs that will be added in the future. I just feel that the swing on all the other songs makes the OST sound more comical than my reasoning behind making it. But I'd like to hear what others think about this.

As for the use of any version above 0.3.0, I can still open & listen to it because the only instrument in that file doesn't have any MML settings for volume, duty or anything else (the file would only crap out on me if the instrument did have some settings modified, in which case I'd use my hacked copy of FamiTracker 0.3.0).

Actually I did this as a joke, yeah, but some tracks do sound nice with swing (7, and I especially like Desert).

I did this in about 20 minutes? and PSN started it with redoing Mega Man 10 in swing.. so I did MM9 and now have done this.

In regards to doing something serious with this, I am fairly busy writing an album bunch of songs right now so not gonna happen

whoa. in doing a size thing I found that you can basically stuff text in posts without actually having it show up. This is pretty neat. The only way someone can see this is to quote me or to highlight the end of my post as they see it.

Anyway yes, an album. It will be a pay-what-you-want type of thing and it will be awesome.

I'm looking forward to hearing your songs once you have them done. In the meanwhile, I'm actually going to consider the swing in another song (but I'll also be occupied with a bunch of things outside of the virtual world). I wouldn't expect any update in the near future.
