because I had problems with the fxx effect in the past, I did f7 to set the speed to 7, but it set the speed to 1 instead.

F7 wouldn't set it to speed 7. F07 would. Although F70 doesn't seem to do anything. And was this meant to another topic? this has nothing to do with time signatures. And there's a topic about the Fxx effect.
