Ahhh... Danocot! Wasn't actually here when you were, but I've read threads and heard things. Welcome back to the forums.
Now, to your actual post. These really sound awesome. Favorite song is definitely Red Wings.
Again, welcome back to the forums.
haha, hopefully not too many bad things. glad you like red wings, and thanks for the welcome!

Hey there, I learned how to use effects and other stuff from your tutorials (and your Sonic covers), and since the beginning, I've always looked forward to be as good as you with FT.
All these covers are awesome. The One Winged Angel one is the most amazing thing I've heard.
Welcome back!
thanks! glad to hear it helped out (though I hope to go more in depth with effects in the next tutorial). glad you like one winged angel, I put a lot of effort into it

Welcome back, danooct1.
Here's looking forward to your continued work & inspiration for all the newer members coming back here. I think the culture of the forum already changed quite a bit, but not because of your absence; if anything, it's because of all the new guys joining the forum (& quite a few of those new guys track pretty good, too).
Don't worry about the past, though; everyone has had their dick moments (including me,) but everything should be better by now (not as many toxic posts, posts made by irritating people who join only to troll, etc.).
thanks man, I appreciate your attitude especially with the shitty way I used to act towards you in the past. here's to the future!

that is a great video

I think I actually found you from your virus videos and then saw you did famitracker stuff. I can't remember if that brought me here but it probably did.
Yeah, so, good to see you're back.
awesome, that's quite a roundabout way to come into tracking!

Also, I improved my cover of Tarm Ruins/Lost Woods to celebrate your return. I learned a lot from you, good sir.
thanks! I actually made a version of tarm ruins recently as well, check out the attachment to this post

Here is a famous "Instant Crush" music cover called "Nyash-Myash":

Can anyone make a famitracker-version of this song please (maybe modify danooct's instant crush FTM)?
interesting. maybe someone could make it but I'm done with Instant Crush for now

Those choir samples in the One-Winged Angel song are really neat.
thanks, but my friend coatlesscarl deserves most of the credit, he provided me with the clean vocals

thanks. if you were around in 2011/2012 it might've been different but I'm glad my reputation does not precede me into 2015!

Hey it's me, Graypesoda!! Probably haven't heard of me, but i'm fairly new to the forums, and have been using famitracker for a little over half a year now. I was thinking i should remix my favorite megaman soundtrack, megaman 9, with the VRC6 expansion. I was wondering if maybe i could use your megaman 9 2a03 tracks as a base to build off of and expand on. I'll try my best to differentiate the two in the final product, but i of course wanted to ask your permission first [Smile]
sure, you can use my FTM if you like.

Hey, I learned to use Famitracker just this past summer thanks to your tutorials. I probably wouldn't have even bothered trying without your guide, so thanks!
that's awesome to hear! glad it helped, I remember what a struggle it was getting into FT on my own with no guides and didn't want others to go through the same thing
sorry to break this into two posts but i hit the character limit when it was all as one

I've been dying to see a revamped tutorial of the latest FT by you (mostly because I'm trying to get the hang of it myself :p).
And....Huge fanboy of your Majestic MotherF*cking Castle comp :3
thanks, and welcome to the forums as well! i'll definitely try to get the new tutorial done a bit faster, though if you're posting here and studying FTMs often you'll likely outgrow the help I can provide pretty quickly! keep tracking!
Ayy Dan, I was bumbling around YouTube and I found this video. What are the chances you could dig up that FTM and post it here? Or maybe it's already on the forums somewhere? I'm digging that tracking work and kinda just want the FTM around to listen to.

Dan, I have a small question ever since I saw your MM7 Cover livestream (2 days after anyway xD)
How did you split the underwater theme into separate channels in audacity? I really want to do that so I can cover songs with a little more ease. Sorry if I'm being really vague, but I can't remember the timestamp you did it on >.<

the quickest way i've found is to use icesoldier's towave program. you drag the nsf or SPC or GBS or whatever else is supported onto the exe, fill out the information, and it spits out the separated channels into WAV format.
alternatively you can use something like foobar2000 with the game emulation music plugin and mute individual channels that way.
it's weird to think about how two small, simple things can change lives pretty dramatically
your tutorials on famitracker led to me using that software instead of fakebitting stuff, and gave me more common ground with the woman who's now my girlfriend, sharing this home with me. the single like you gave on one of my videos immediately set my channel up with a small, but dedicated fanbase, and i can pretty much count on whatever i upload getting a few hundred views.

so, thanks for all that
that is really touching, thank you for sharing that.
also weird, but this FTM has survived on my hard drive for at least 3 disk formats in my downloads folder (the only FTM there because usually I download to the desktop or other directories) and it doesn't appear to be going away any time soon. i listen to it every now and again when i'm perusing documents in the folder.
Personally, I don't think you're a dick (might be because I joined this forum a bit later at the time you got banned), you're cool, I guess.

I mean, you're a nice guy on Twitter (well I carry the same name as here and twitter), I can't complain and you do your vids in somewhat a funny way.

Thank you for the help, can't believe I forgot to mention that xD Now, I have another question: is there another way to do that with non-chiptune mp3 files?
