People gave you a solution and you chose to get all whiny.

it'd be nice if this could be about the music but no...

The source module that this came from has multiple songs, half of which are using the full channel range. (for some reason i didnt think it'd be a problem though when i was creating the separate ftm)
Suggestion: make noise enabling/disabling .ftm-based so that if someone (me) decides to disable the noise, they can without the recipient having to make option-based modifications which create massive outrages like this (not the only reason for it though).

Ok I see, that sort of explains it, but it still appears very sloppy when it's as easy to actually avoid the noise as it is in this case.

The problem is that noise is not optional on the actual hardware. You see, the audio played back from famitracker is intended only for helping you getting an idea of how it sounds when played back on a namco cart, and should not be regarded as the final result. It's meant for monitoring purposes only.
Even if you choose to disregard that help by using improper emulation, at least be prepared to get your song judged the way it's supposed to sound when sharing it.

Personally I preferred the VRC7 version, good job on that one.

eh, i guess ill up-convert a song next time. i usually dont think of this because i forget that others arent using 3.8 beta anymore.

I knew that famitracker=/=real thing but I just like the clearness of improper emulation.

What's the reason for P85? Why do you want the notes detuned?

To me they ring more with other notes in the same key that are untuned or differently tuned. The detune is P83 in the VRC7 version.

No there isn't.

And I don't see why it'd be better to get another version of FT just for your FTM. No one else uses 0.3.8 beta and FTMs created in 0.4.4 will not open in it. It'd just make it another hassle.

i use 3.8 beta exactly for this reason - no noise. listen to this in whatever version you want, using 3.8 beta was a suggestion to use as it was made in that specific version. no need for whining about it.
Besides, if i can use 4 different versions (0.3.5, 0.3.7, 0.3.8 beta, 0.4.2) of famitracker at a time, so can you.

Incredibly shallow. Not everyone is going to download multiple versions just to open your specific FTM.

The only thing you'd have to do is correct it for use in 0.4.4 so everyone can open it, which would be much less of an inconvenience than having everyone else download an outdated version.

I don't see why anyone had to even bring up this at all, I'm using 0.4.4 with no problems. Just either:

1. Change the channels from 8 to 6 (like jsr said), and/or
2. Change your bass filtering to 16dB, your frequency rate to 48kHz, and set your driver to Primary Sound Driver.

Hope this helps y'all fix your issue.

EDIT: I forgot that this sounds really good, but don't ask me for an opinion on accuracy. I have no clue.

But good job. (Did I say that wrong?)

IaTM wasn't exactly whining, he was sarcastically implying that the use of 8 channels was unnecessary through saying the comment about the namco hiss.

Cool beans/10
mistakes take place, unnecessary complications ensue, simple fix for hiss
Reminds me of music from a keygen program sort of.
